Sustainability Begins with Products that Last™.
Carpets of Antron® nylon can last longer. It's time to redefine sustainability. Conventional wisdom has been that recycled content equals sustainability, but that's only part of the story. When it comes to carpet, INVISTA takes a big-picture approach to understanding a product's true effect on our lives and the environment. Why? Because, we believe that products designed for long-term performance can increase our quality of life.
It's time to ask... HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? Many products may not be meeting end-user expectations for cost-efficiency, long-term performance and aesthetics, we're raising the bar with a longer First Life™.
You should expect third party certification for the products you specify. In 2002, INVISTA sought out an independent, third-party certification for Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP). SCS Global Services (SCS), a reputable third-party organization evaluated Antron® carpet fiber and certified that it met EPP criteria. Antron® Lumena™ and Antron® Legacy™ fibers are the first carpet fibers to have earned the Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) designation and the only carpet fibers to have been recertified multiple times.
Every life cycle is important. First Life™ is defined at INVISTA as the time period from when a new carpet is installed until it needs replacing due to unacceptable performance or appearance. By carefully balancing your decisions on the front end, you can avoid premature replacement and benefit the environment, getting it right the first time with Antron® carpet fiber.
We believe in a holistic approach. For Antron®, this begins with an integrated and lifecycle based model and our corporate vision. We create long-term value for society by using resources more efficiently; protecting the environment and the safety and health of our employees and others; consistently applying good science; and employing Market Based Management®. Together, these contribute to the overall quality of life.
