Antron® nylon has inherent anti-static properties due to the addition of antistatic filaments. These filaments have a carbon core and a type 6,6 nylon sheath.

Performances Anti-static properties can be achieved either through topical treatments sprayed on the carpet or antistatic filaments that are integrated into the fiber bundle. Since topical treatments may wash off after hot water extraction or walk-off with foot traffic, choosing a carpet of Antron® nylon made with integrated anti-static filaments will provide permanent protection against static shock. Carpets of Antron® nylon, when installed and maintained according to industry standards, do not generate static levels that exceed 3.5 kV when tested as described in AATCC 134.
